Pakistani Pilgrims Hajj 2025: Thousands of Pakistani Muslims who dream of performing Hajj in 2025 are now uncertain about their plans. Over 67,000 pilgrims registered through private Hajj operators may miss out on their chance to travel to Mecca due to delays in finalizing contracts and timely payments.
This year, Saudi Arabia had allocated a total of 179,210 Hajj pilgrims for Pakistan. The quota has been divided equally between the government and private Hajj schemes, with 89,605 places each. To accommodate more pilgrims, Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has approved 10,000 more places for private Hajj operators, taking their total to 99,605.
However, the number of bookings made under the private scheme has already crossed 91,000, which is more than the sanctioned limit. Only 14,000 pilgrims have been confirmed to have paid for Hajj so far by the Saudi authorities. This has raised serious concerns, as the remaining 67,000 pilgrims are unable to travel for Hajj despite paying and booking their places.
The problem has arisen due to the slow pace and delays in signing key agreements between private operators and the relevant authorities. Many pilgrims have made advance payments and made preparations for the holy journey. But now they are facing severe uncertainty and disappointment.

In response, the Pakistani government has requested the Prime Minister to speak to the Saudi authorities and seek additional Hajj quota to help accommodate more pilgrims to Pakistani Pilgrims Hajj 2025.
This situation highlights the urgent need for better coordination, faster processing and proper planning in future Hajj operations. This is a matter of faith and emotion for thousands of people, and timely action is essential to avoid such problems. Let’s hope that the Saudi government will respond positively and that as many pilgrims as possible will be able to fulfill their religious duty without any hindrance.
