Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Stipends Increased For School Students

The Benazir Taleemi Wazaif, also known as the Benazir Educational Stipend, has seen an increase in the amounts allocated for students. Starting January 2025, over six million students across Pakistan will benefit from this program, as the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif stipends have increased for school students. The stipends support children’s education from nursery to Grade 12.

Who Will Receive the Stipend?

The stipend will therefore go to the mothers of enrolled children. In order to qualify, parents must register with the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). Moreover, the process is simple and thus helps families ensure continuous education for their children.
Moreover, The funds aim to reduce financial pressure on parents and encourage education for all.

Stipend Distribution Breakdown

The amount each student receives depends on their level of education. Here’s the distribution:

Education Level Amount per Student
Primary Level Rs 2,000
Secondary Level Rs 3,000
Higher Secondary Level Rs 3,500

Additionally, an extra Rs 3,000 will be granted upon the completion of the Primary Level.

Eligibility Criteria

To start receiving financial support, the child’s mother must be registered in the BISP Kafalat program. The age requirements for enrollment are as follows:

  • Primary education: 4-12 years
  • Secondary education: 8-18 years
  • Higher secondary education: 13-22 years
