Sher Afzal Marwat Says Faiz Hameed’s Misconduct Harmed PTI More Than Helped

Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, a notable Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, recently voiced strong criticism of former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hameed and says Faiz Hameed’s Misconduct Harmed PTI More Than Helped. Marwat’s remarks have stirred considerable debate, highlighting a significant shift in PTI’s stance on Hameed.

Marwat condemned Faiz Hameed’s tenure as ISI chief. According to Marwat, Hameed’s actions were not just controversial but also damaging to PTI. He argued that while many have blamed Hameed’s misconduct on the previous ruling party, PTI itself did not benefit from his tenure. Instead, Marwat believes that Faiz Hameed’s Misconduct Harmed PTI More Than Helped.

Faiz Hameed, who is currently in military custody, faces serious charges. The authorities have accused him of abusing his power and violating the Army Act. They have arrested him for land grabbing and theft from a private housing society. The military has initiated a Field General Court Martial against him.

Marwat’s criticism extends beyond Hameed. He also expressed discontent with the decision to reintegrate the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). Marwat claims that this decision has exacerbated instability in the region. He notes a surge in militant attacks and lawlessness in his native area and the broader province.

Sher Afzal Khan Marwat’s critique sheds light on internal party dynamics and regional issues. His remarks underscore the complexities facing PTI and the broader political landscape in Pakistan. Stay tuned for more information.
