Govt Introduces Installment Plan For Hajj Pilgrims that will offer great relief to low and middle-income citizens. Pilgrims will now be able to pay their Hajj expenses in three easy installments. This move aims to ease the financial burden many face when preparing for the holy pilgrimage.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the installment plan is designed to help those who struggle with paying a large sum upfront. Pilgrims will initially deposit Rs200,000 to apply for Hajj. If selected in the lucky draw, they will then pay Rs400,000. The remaining amount must be cleared before departure. This structure ensures that individuals have more flexibility in managing their finances.
The federal cabinet is set to approve the new Hajj policy, which includes special provisions for specific groups. The government has set a quota of 179,000 pilgrims, with half allocated to the government and the other half to private tour operators. They have also reserved special slots for low-income workers and those under the hardship category.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued a new health policy. The authorities will not allow pilgrims with serious health conditions, such as cancer, heart disease, or kidney disease, to participate in the pilgrimage. All pilgrims must provide medical certificates to ensure their eligibility for the pilgrimage.
