Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially denied the rumors which claimed that Mohsin Naqvi Resigned as PCB Chairman. These rumours started spreading after Mohsin Naqvi was recently elected as the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
Many people started thinking that he might step down as PCB chairman due to his new responsibilities and busy schedule. However, PCB officials have clearly stated that these reports are not true and Mohsin Naqvi is still working as the Chairman.
Former Pakistani cricketer Kamran Akmal also publicly blamed Naqvi for the poor performance of the national cricket team and asked him to resign from his role. This further fuelled the speculations. But despite these demands, Mohsin Naqvi did not leave his post and the PCB has strongly rejected all such claims.
Earlier this month, Pakistan officially took over the presidency of the Asian Cricket Council from Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). The move follows a decision by the ACC, and means that Pakistan will now play a key role in the promotion and development of cricket across Asia.
