Hybird Double-Decker Bus Services Introduced In Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken a significant step towards promoting eco-friendly tourism as Hybird Double-Decker Bus Services Introduced In Punjab. This initiative aims to reduce pollution while boosting metropolitan tourism in the province. The new buses, deployed on various routes in Lahore, offer a modern way for tourists to explore the city’s famous landmarks.

The hybrid buses will not only operate in Lahore but also expand to other cities. Bahawalpur and Rawalpindi are set to receive one bus each, while services in Multan and Faisalabad will launch soon. In Lahore, three of the buses will begin their routes from Gaddafi Stadium, connecting passengers to major tourist attractions.

After the inauguration, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz personally took a ride to experience the service firsthand. Her involvement highlights the government’s commitment to improving tourism while focusing on environmental sustainability.

The introduction of these buses aligns with the broader “Suthra Punjab Programme,” launched by the Chief Minister on September 18. This program aims to enhance cleanliness across the province, particularly in rural areas, for the first time. As part of the initiative, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of adopting proper waste disposal practices and moving away from the use of plastics, which contribute to pollution.

By introducing these hybrid buses, the Punjab government is not only promoting tourism but also taking steps to protect the environment. This initiative promises to offer both residents and tourists a cleaner, greener way to explore the beauty of Punjab. Stay tuned for more information.
