Punjab Board of Revenue Approves New Digital E-Stamp Paper System

Punjab Board of Revenue Approves Digital E-Stamp Paper System taking a major step towards eradicating fraud. Senior member Nabeel Javed chaired the board meeting that gave the go-ahead to this bold move. In the meeting, important officials including Malik Abdul Waheed and Khalid Saleem reviewed and approved the important agenda items.

One of the most notable decisions was the digitization of the E-Stamp Paper System. The change aims to streamline the process and combat fraudulent activities effectively. By migrating to digital format, BoR will significantly enhance the transparency and security of stamp paper transactions.

Moreover, the Punjab Board of Revenue approved several reforms to improve tax collection and internal auditing. The tax department will see updates aimed at increasing efficiency and accuracy. Along with this, BoR’s internal audit system will be improved. These changes will ensure better management of government land and more stringent recovery of dues from unauthorized occupants.

Apart from this, the board has also focused on the issue of lease of government land. A new committee will review and make recommendations on extension of leases for agricultural graduates. Their results are expected in the next two weeks.

Transparency will also be a key focus in auctioning and leasing government land. All relevant information will soon be accessible online, enabling public scrutiny and accountability. Additionally, the board is considering moving towards a fully digital, paperless registration system. This will further streamline the transfer process and reduce the chances of errors.

With these forward-thinking reforms, Punjab is setting a new benchmark for transparency and efficiency in the management of government resources. Stay tuned for more information.
