Punjab ENTD Asks Property Owners To Pay Taxes And Claim Rebate

The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department (ENTD) is reminding property owners to pay their taxes before the September 30 deadline. Punjab ENTD Asks Property Owners To Pay Taxes For Rebate a 5% rebate to encourage timely payments, allowing those who pay on time to claim it. Deputy Director Khalid Hussain Qasoori emphasized that the department has distributed tax notices, including the rebate offer, to all property taxpayers.

Taxpayers can easily access their notices online, making the process more convenient for both businesses and homeowners. The department’s public awareness campaign has been well-received. The campaign includes banners displayed throughout the city and active engagement on social media platforms.

This fiscal year, the ENTD has set an ambitious target to collect PKR 1.22 billion in property taxes. Their current focus is on collecting 60% of that amount, which equates to Rs. 750 million, by the end of September. So far, the response has been positive, with many property owners taking advantage of the rebate.

However, those who miss the September 30 deadline may face penalties. These include a 1% surcharge, and in extreme cases, potential arrest warrants or even property confiscation. The department strongly encourages taxpayers to act swiftly and avoid these harsh measures.

By offering this rebate and conducting an extensive awareness campaign, the ENTD aims to ensure compliance and reach its tax collection targets. Now is the time for property owners to pay their taxes, claim their rebate, and contribute to the region’s fiscal health. Stay tuned for more information.
